Performance in situ for 5 dancers and a musician | outdoor | 50 minutes
A journey log in images, a danced travel diary from Marseille to Seoul through Copenhagen, Casablanca, Tunis, Durban, Alexandria, Rosario… The images were shot in the outskirts of large cities, where nature still competes with the cityscape, and in city centres undergoing a transformation. There, the dancers are filmed solo, experiencing the places. In Le Nom du lieu, their projected images intertwine with the dancers’ live performances – new duos and trios are improvised – and the spectator, who is free to choose his or her perspective and position, will sometimes even become part of the scenography.
